Caribbean Room With a View: Peter Island Resort, British Virgin Islands

ON A CLEAR DAY, you can see all the way to St Croix.

High above the Caribbean Sea, the Peter Island Resort’s villas offer some of the most spectacular vistas in the region.

The property is set on an 1,800-acre private island (with five beaches) within the British Virgin Islands chain.

The resort itself has a mix of villas, beachfront junior suites and ocean view rooms.

The villas include views usually reserved for those with wings — and, indeed, they’re all named for birds: the Falcon’s Nest, Hawk’s Nest and Crow’s Nest.

The one pictured above is the Falcon’s Nest villa, from which, on a clear day, one can see both to nearby Norman Island and all the way to St Croix in the US Virgin Islands.

The Barcelona-style villa has three separate residences with six suites, seven baths, three half-baths and a total of 21,645 square feet. The main villa itself has two kitchens, two suites and a 2,250-square-foot master suite.

The villa includes its own infinity pool, a dipping pool and an outdoor whirlpool.

Enjoy the view.
