Chris Blackwell’s Jamaica-based Island Outpost resort group has named Rachel Harrison its new Chief Marketing Officer, the company announced.

Harrison will be responsible for creating and implementing the marketing strategy for all Island Outpost properties, which include GoldenEye, Strawberry Hill and The Caves in Negril. Island Outpost’s properties will be launching new web sites in May.

“Ms Harrison’s extensive experience in public relations, marketing, and branding for luxury hotels and resorts makes her a true asset to Island Outpost and a key figure in the future of the company,” Blackwell said in a release.
Most recently, Harrison served as director of communications for Andaz by Hyatt.

“I have been a huge fan of Chris Blackwell and Island Outpost for years – I love that they make Jamaica the star of the show, with GoldenEye, Strawberry Hill, and The Caves serving as the ultimate front row seats,” said Harrison. “I am thrilled to have been asked to join the Island Outpost team and am excited to share the message of how special Jamaica and each of the properties are.”
