The Doubletree San Juan hotel has named a new executive chef and Food & Beverage director, the property announced Thursday.

Hector Rosario has been named the new executive chef at the hotel, while Felix Vizcaino has been appointed as the Doubletree’s new F&B director.

“We have selected Rosario and Vizcaino as the key leaders to initiate and implement an exciting new direction for our food and beverage teams,” said Yodil Caban, General Manager of the Doubletree. “They will be instrumental in helping us elevate the hotel’s dining experience, both by expanding our core business and bringing in new visitors and locals.”

Rosario, a 16-year veteran of the industry, previously worked at the Puerto Rico Convention Centre under the tutelage of Executive Chef Paul Budet.

Vizcaino has opened more than 17 restaurants over his career in Puerto Rico, the continental United States and Mexico.

The two will oversee the hotel’s signature Cafe Pierre restaurant.
