St Kitts’ Christophe Harbour luxury development continues to grow.

The latest project is the Ocean Grove residential development, the product of a joint venture agreement between the Christophe Harbour Development Company and Canada-based Apex Capital Partners Corporation.

The residential resort community, called Ocean Grove, will be set within Christophe Harbour’s Sandy Bank Bay community; it will provide for the development of 50 new two-bedroom villas with an investment value of approximately $50 million at full build out, the company said.

“The future of St Kitts is very bright, and we are excited to partner with Buddy Darby on a project that is moving forward in a country that understands the value of these kinds of business ventures,” said Apex Capital Partners President Nuri Katz. “The opportunity to work with a unique project like Christophe Harbour that is supported by the successful developer in Kiawah Partners gives us the confidence to believe we will have a long-lasting relationship working and investing in St Kitts.”

Christophe Harbour, which first launched in 2008, is located on the 2,500-acre southeastern peninsula of St Kitts.

The development is slated to be home to a new Park Hyatt hotel and a golf course designed by Tom Fazio.

Apex will work with Christophe Harbour’s Kiawah Island-based design team to plan the 50 turn-key villas, which will feature 1,500 square feet of interior and exterior living space.

The project will offer buyers the opportunity to apply for St Kitts and Nevis citizenship.

“Overseas investment like this has a tremendous positive impact on the Federation and we should credit the government for continuing to encourage private enterprise in St Kitts and Nevis,” said Bill Lee, COO of Chrstophe Harbour. “All those who care about the future of St Kitts and understand the importance of projects like Christophe Harbour should see this news as overwhelmingly positive and exciting.”

The Ocean Grove project is slated to launch sales in the third quarter of this year, with construction projected to begin by the end of 2013.
