Worldwide sprinting sensation Usain Bolt has extended his partnership with Nissan and expanded his role as a brand ambassador to “Director of Excitement,” the company announced this week.

Bolt made the announcement on a trip to Oppama, Japan, this week, where he helped unveil a special one-off gold Nissan GT-R that will be auctioned off for charity.

The proceeds from the GT-R, which is embossed with Bolt’s signature and includes gold fittings on its furniture, will go toward helping young people in Jamaica.

Bolt’s role will also involve contributions to Nissan’s “WHAT IF_” brand campaign.

“Nissan shares the spirit of excitement that captivated worldwide audiences at the Olympics,” said Toshiyuki Shiga, Chief Operating Officer at Nissan. “There is no one better qualified than Usain Bolt to help us translate that spirit into a great experience.”
