New US Ambassador to Barbados, Eastern Caribbean Visits Antigua

Ambassador Larry Palmer, the United States’ new envoy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, has presented his credentials in Antigua and Barbuda.

Palmer met this weekend with Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer and Finance Minister Harold Lovell.

Spencer pledged what he called Antigua’s continued desire to maintain good relations with the United States.

Palmer expressed his “honour” in visiting Antigua and Barbuda, and they importance of ensuring that the two countries continue to build upon their “good relations.”

The ambassador also met with Opposition Leader Lester Bird.
