Haiti’s Martelly Receives New Ambassadors from Brazil, Panama

Haiti’s President Michel Martelly received the credentials Tuesday of the new ambassadors from Brazil and Panama.

Brazil’s new ambassador is Jose Luiz Machado e Costa, with John Evans Atherley the new Panamanian ambassador.

Martelly said in a statement that he reassured them of his willingness to work together to strengthen ties of friendship between Brazil, Panama and Haiti.

The Ambassadors said they renewed their commitment to support Martelly in his effort to improve the living conditions of Haiti’s people.

Martelly said he was continuing to work to send a “clear signal” of change in Haiti to countries around the world.
