Trinidad Foreign Minister Dr Surujrattan Rambachan met last week with Daniela Tramacere, the newly-appointed European Union Charge D’Affaires to Trinidad.

Rambachan expressed his desire to continue the “robust” relationship he had enjoyed with Tramacere’s predecessor.

The two sides discussed the proposed official visit of Baroness Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, along with the Joint Caribbean-European Union Partnership Strategy.

Ashton, who is also Vice President of the European Commission, is set to visit Trinidad in March.
