Bahamas, UAE Form Diplomatic Ties

The Bahamas and the United Arab Emirates have established diplomatic relations, the Bahamian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. The agreement was made in the form of a joint communique at the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates in New York. The two nations could also look to cooperate on energy issues, along with tourism and financial services. [The Bahamas Weekly]
