Saint Lucia is getting a new route.

That includes a pair of new Saturday-only flights from both Chicago O’Hare and Dallas Fort Worth on Dec. 21, along with new seasonal service from Chicago to the island of Saint Lucia.

American will also be launching a second daily flight from Dallas to Costa Rica, along with its first-ever flights from New York to Guyana on Dec. 18.

The latter comes a year after American launched its first-ever flights from Miami to Guyana, whose impressive natural beauty is increasingly on the radar of intrepid travelers.

The carrier will also be launching a new route from Charlotte to the island of Grenada, also in late December.

And in a boost for Bermuda, AA said it would launch a new seasonal route from New York City’s Laguardia Airport.

Guyana is getting another route as the world begins to discover the wonders of its natural environment.

“As we looked at our Latin America and Caribbean network, we saw some unique opportunities to grow, providing more service to the places our customers value most,” said Vasu Raja, Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning for American Airlines, in a statement. “We know that customers who travel for business during the week are seeking Caribbean destinations on the weekends, and we’re looking forward to providing new opportunities for that this winter.”

American is also set to launch a new route later this month, when it begins operating a new flight on Saturdays from Dallas-Fort Worth to St Kitts.
