Bermuda will host the Sixth Caribbean Conference on Health Financing Initiatives in November as part of Bermuda’s ongoing debate over healthcare costs. “When we met last November, we didn’t have a whole lot of dialogue between stakeholders and attendees, so this time will be a time to have more interaction,” said Bermuda Health Minister Zane DeSilva. The conference has been held every November for the past five years. “We expect representation from 20 Caribbean countries, with maybe 100 representatives from the Caribbean,” he said. The summit will take place at Bermuda’s Tucker’s Point resort. [Royal Gazette]
