VIDEO: The Beauty of Tahiti Beach, Abaco

ELBOW CAY – Is there anything like this place?

Here, on the southern corner of Elbow Cay is a marvel: a tiny tucked away paradise with perfect white sand and the kind of palm trees that would make Crusoe right at home.

While this is a beach that’s very well known among yachters and boaters and beach-seekers, it’s still very much a secret stretch of sand.

Tahiti Beach, from above.

This is Tahiti Beach, one of the crown jewels of the Abacos.

The Bahamas’ Abaco chain remains one of the great wonders of the Caribbean, an archipelago-within-an-archipelago filled with electric blue water, secret coves and some seriously spectacular beaches.

And this is as good as it gets.

Tahiti Beach is a a favored spots for afternoon boat trips and endless lounging in calm, shallow water.

It’s the sort of beach that’s worth the journey, to Marsh Harbour, to the ferry dock (or on your own boat), to Hope Town and to this far corner of Elbow Cay.

It’s half tiny cay, half sand bar, a sliver of beach perfection.

And it’s a journey that rewards those who make it.

This is one of the most spectacular stretches of sand in all of The Bahamas.

This is what it’s like to be there.
