A New Spa Director for the Four Seasons Nevis

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 22, 2022

For years, it’s been one of the leading wellness destinations in the Caribbean: the 12,000-square-foot spa at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis.

Now, the company has tapped a new director for the spa, naming industry veteran Karen Mcfarlane to the role.

Mcfarlane most recently worked at the Jumby Bay Island Resort, part of the Oetker Collection, in Antigua.

“I am pleased to welcome Karen to the Four Seasons Resort Nevis family,” said Yvette Thomas-Henry, Regional Vice President and General Manager. “Her passion for excellence and her commitment to training and development is sure to enhance and elevate the spa, wellness and fitness offerings at our Resort. I’m excited to see what her fresh perspective will bring to our unique Nevisian offerings.”

In the new role, MCfarlane will be overseeing both the resort’s spa and fitness operations; the spa itself includes 11 treatment rooms, six of which are in private Nevisian huts.

It’s marked by an antique Cooper fountain and its signature gingerbread-rimmed treatment rooms.

“It is truly an honor to be joining the Four Seasons Resort Nevis family,” said Mcfarlane. “I am looking forward to developing the Spa’s wellness experiences while infusing the rich natural elements of Nevis so that our visiting guests can experience the authenticity of the island.”

A native of Jamaica, Mcfaralane’s career includes stops at Antigua’s Carlisle Bay and Blue Waters Hotel and the island’s Sandals Grande resort.
