The BVI Ports Authority has approved several new ferry routes from the US Virgin Islands, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The new service will mean routes from the USVI to destinations including Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda and Anegada, complimenting existing service to Tortola.
Inter Island Boat Services will be operating the routes, which include Cruz Bay-Jost Van Dyke; Cruz Bay; Virgin Gorda; and Cruz Bay-Anegada.
The service between Cruz Bay and Jost Van Dyke will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Schedules for the other routes have not yet been announced.
