American Airlines Is Adding More Flights to Anguilla

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 4, 2021

American Airlines is adding even more flights to its new route from Miami to Anguilla.

The airline will be operating three flights each week from Miami to Anguilla, beginning Jan. 5, 2022.

American will kick off its first-ever flights to Anguilla on Dec. 11, with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays; the third flight will operate each Monday beginning in January.

“We have worked extremely hard to provide a safe and enjoyable vacation experience to our visitors, with transparent entry protocols and now easier and more convenient access than ever before,” said Kenroy Herbert, Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board. “We have a very low Covid-rate, our tourism industry workers and 80% of our local residents are fully vaccinated, and our stakeholders understand the concerns of today’s travelers, particularly around offering some degree of flexibility when making their travel arrangements.”

It’s a major injection of energy for the island’s tourism sector, with what are effectively the first-ever international commercial jet flights to the island.

“We are thrilled and delighted that American Airlines is already incorporating additional service to our island, a testament to the strong demand for Anguilla and the premium tourism product that we offer,” said Stacey Liburd, Anguilla’s Director of Tourism.
