Another new music festival is coming to Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Caribbean Journal has learned.

It’s called Golden Sand, and it’s the brainchild of tech firm Pollen Presents, the company behind an increasing number of Caribbean festivals. 

Golden Sand will be an “immersive weekend of music, exploration, vacation, and relaxation,” taking place from Jan. 12-16, 2022. 

The festival will be headlined by a group of hip-hop, rap and R&B icons, including 50 Cent, TLC, Nelly and Ludacris, along with Jamaican star Sean Paul, Destiny’s Child’s Kelly Rowland and T-Pain, among others. 

Other music stars signed on include Fat Joe, Lil’ Kim and Flo Rida. 

The week will include three daytime pool parties, four headline shows and daily wellness sessions, too. 

Golden Sand is Pollen’s first fully-owned venture. 

It will be hosted at the Barcelo Riviera Maya resort and its Maya Riviera, Maya Beach and Maya Caribe hotels.
