USVI “Resumes Business” After Tropical Storm Karen
By the Caribbean Journal staff
The USVI has “resumed business” following the passage of Tropical Storm Karen, officials said Wednesday.
While the storm brought heavy rainfall to the trio of islands, it “had little to no impact on the territory’s tourism infrastructure,” according to the USVI Department of Tourism.
St Thomas’ Cyril King Airport and St Croix’s Henry Rohlsen Airport remained open, with “the majority of flights” to St Thomas and St Croix already departing as scheduled.
All maritime and seaplane operations have also resumed, officials said.
Tropical Storm Karen is now in the Atlantic Ocean.
