Construction Moves Forward at St Kitts’ Christophe Harbour Project

Construction on the marina of the multi-billion-dollar Christophe Harbour resort project in St Kitts is underway.

Dredging is down to 20 feet at the site of the marina, according to Buddy Darby, CEO of Kiaway, the company behind the development.

“Our focus will be on the development of the rest of the harbour and start on the shoreside facilities at the same time,” he said.

Negotiations are in progress on the building of three hotels at the site; Darby said he would be disappointed if at least one did not begin construction next year.

“They will be of five-star quality,” he said. “It is encouraging as it has been a long haul. We are working to make Christophe Harbour the best resort in the Caribbean.”

Christophe Harbour is located on the 2,500-acre southeastern peninsula of St Kitts, and is planned to include a megayacht harbour and marina, along with hotels, villas and a Tom Fazio-designed golf course.
