Jamaica Has a New Villa Resort

Jamaica’s iconic Half Moon resort has rebranded its popular villa portfolio, the property said this week.

The villas at Half Moon have been relaunched as the Rose Hall Villas, effectively Jamaica’s newest villa resort.

The changes are part of a wider $75 million transformation project by the resort, which will include the addition of new rooms and suites, a new lobby, two new eateries, a marketplace and three new bars, among other changes.

“With all the new offerings coming on board, we are further enhancing one of the best characteristics of the villas – the private atmosphere of each individual villa within a neighborhood, complemented by nearby resort experiences, which are offered by Half Moon,” said Guy Steuart, chairman of Half Moon’s Board of Directors.

The new Rose Hall Villas include a total of 28 villas, available in four, five, six and seven-bedroom configurations, each of which includes a living room, dining room, outdoor space and its own private pool.

Every villa at the Rose Hall Villas includes its own butler, housekeeper and cook.

“We receive requests from returning families to have the same staff assigned to their villas that they’re used to seeing,” said Jacqueline Gordon, manager of Rose Hall Villas. “We always try to accommodate where possible because this is one of the experiences that makes vacations truly enjoyable for our guests.”

Guests who stay at the Rose Hall Villas can make reservations at any Half Moon restaurant, get their villas pre-stocked with groceries and book excursions with the villa resort’s dedicated concierge, among other amenities.
