One of Jamaica’s most highly-anticipated resorts in some time has officially debuted in Greater Montego Bay.

Excellence Group has opened its new adults-only Excellence Oyster Bay, the brand’s first property outside of Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

The luxe all-inclusive is set on a private peninsula about 35 minutes from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport.

Excellence Oyster Bay, a $110 million project, first broke ground in March 2017.

The setting is made more spectacular by Jamaica’s famous Luminous Lagoon, a phosphorescent lagoon that has a natural glow and bioluminescent lights.

The 315-suite property has eight restaurants, nine bars, fitness facilities, two beachfront swimming pools and a lounge with a rooftop pool.

Excellence Oyster Bay also has the company’s signature Miilé Spa and an Excellence Club enclave.

It’s another major addition to the Trelawny area, which has seen new properties in recent years from brands including Melia and Royalton.

Also on offer are direct oceanfront “beach houses,” a concept the company developed exclusively for Excellence Oyster Bay.

“We could not be happier to have beautiful Jamaica as a part of the Excellence Group family. Excellence Oyster Bay has been a major passion project of Excellence Group and is the culmination of our experience in hospitality, luxury, culinary, and exceptional service,” said Domingo Aznar, vice president of sales and marketing at Excellence Group. “We truly believe that with Excellence Oyster Bay, guests will find an extraordinary experience through welcoming personalized service and a genuine attention to detail.”

Excellence Group operates resorts in the Caribbean-Mexico region under the Excellence, Finest and Beloved brands.
