St Lucia’s Sugar Beach Set to Debut New Beachfront Collection

The first properties in the Beachfront Collection at Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort are nearing completion on the Caribbean Coast of St Lucia and will be ready to host guests beginning December 2017.

The two four-bedroom homes are the first of the five Beachfront Collection units, located on the sands of Glenconner Beach– the second of Sugar Beach’s two beaches.

Set in a UNESCO World Heritage Site between the Pitons, The Beachfront Collection’s interior living spaces merge with the world outside.

Exposed rafters create light-filled, double-height living areas with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors connecting to the outdoor terraces and pool areas.

Each home has open views of the Pitons, but is kept private by landscaping.

Designed by British architects Michaelis Boyd using all-natural materials, the Beachfront Collection homes are a departure from the classic Caribbean style of the rest of the resort and have a modern aesthetic and several water features.

Michaelis Boyd is also the creative force behind the interiors of these new accommodations.

Other features include 180-degree Caribbean and Piton views, four master bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, private outdoor shower and balcony terraces, outdoor dining and kitchen areas and full kitchens with European appliances.

The remaining three Beachfront Collection properties are available to purchase, ranging from $8.25 to $15 million and offering owners the rare chance of living in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In addition to the two new Beachfront Collection homes debuting in December, there are 21 other plantation Residences at Sugar Beach ranging from one to four bedrooms.
