AMResorts Names New Vice President of Strategic Sales Planning

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 15, 2017

AMResorts, the fastest-growing hotel company in the Caribbean, has announced the promotion of Jan LaPointe as its new vice president of strategic sales planning for North America.

The company said the newly-created position would support the company’s growth efforts, which aim to reach 100 resorts by 2020 across 30 destinations.

LaPointe has been with the company for more than 15 years, with more than three decades of experience in the tourism industry.

“The innovative thinking and deep experience of AMResorts’ leadership is the engine behind our steadfast growth, and as one of the original members of our team, Jan has been instrumental in helping us achieve the strong market position we have today,” said Colette Baruth, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Distribution, AMResorts. “Her blend of strategic thinking and relationship management to drive sales makes her a strong asset to AMResorts, and we congratulate her on this new role.”

LaPointe will also continue to build the company’s travel agent loyalty program, AMRewards, which she helped launch two years ago and now has more than 19,000 registered agents.
