Tourico’s Major New Travel Partnership

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 23, 2017

Travel Company Tourico Holidays, one of the world’s fastest-growing wholesale travel brokerages, has announced a major new partnership with UK-based online travel agency Loveholidays.

Tourico has more than 1,000 hotels contracted in the Caribbean, where it has reported significant increases in UK-sourced bookings.

Indeed, Tourico says its UK bookings have increased 93 percent to Aruba, 79 percent to Barbados, 85 percent to the Dominican Republic and 118 percent to Jamaica, among other destinations.

“We’ve seen a healthy demand for transatlantic trips from our customers, and by integrating Tourico’s massive portfolio of U.S. and Caribbean hotels, we’re better positioned for fulfillment,” said Theo Demetriou, the Purchasing Director for loveholidays. “The new partnership will help loveholidays grow incrementally, in a sustainable manner, while continuing to put our customers first.”

Loveholidays allows travelers to find and compared trips without having to enter specific dates or destinations with a proprietary search platform.

“loveholidays is the perfect example of how a growing travel business can be nimble and resourceful to capitalize on shifts in the marketplace,” said Emma Weber, the Director of Sales in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia for Tourico Holidays. “They recognized that UK travelers were seeking U.S. and Caribbean vacations, so they quickly engaged with Tourico, and now they’re delivering thousands of hotel options at prices you can’t find anywhere else.”
