How to Visit the St. Croix Food and Wine Experience

Travelers will find plenty of deals on St. Croix hotels and villas for the 2017 St. Croix Food and Wine Experience, which will take place April 7-10.

Established as a grassroots effort to bring the island’s culinary community together in a social setting, the event has become the nucleus of a multi-day event drawing foodies from around the world.

The event, which has previously been called the Taste of St. Croix, also serves as a major fundraiser benefitting culinary-related scholarships, training and competitions on the island.

Guests have many accommodation options to choose from, such as the newly renovated Caravelle Hotel & Castino, located on the waterfront of historic Christiansted.

The 42-room waterfront hotel is offering a three-night stay – which includes two tickets to Taste of St. Croix and The St. Croix Food & Wine Experience cookbook – starting at $170.10 per night.

Located east of Christiansted, Tamarind Reef resort is offering a three-night stay for two in an ocean-view room, coupon booklet valued at $1,000 and a bottle of rum, starting at $589.

Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino – a 200-room all-inclusive resort and casino, and host of the annual Taste of St. Croix gala – is offering a rate of $167 per person, per night, including one complimentary ticket per registered guest.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, The Buccaneer features 138 guest rooms, 18-hole golf course, spa and The Buccaneer Beach House at Whistle Point a six-bedroom complex with a main house and two cottages.

From April 4-12, the resort is offering a five-night stay for two in an ocean-view room including daily full American breakfast for two, welcome cocktails, five-day car rental, a culinary turndown amenity and two tickets to Taste of St. Croix.

The Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa, located on the beach in the foothills of a of a rainforest, is offering a four-night stay including daily breakfast and two tickets to Taste of St. Croix, starting at $296 per night.

Serenity Garden Villas’ portfolio includes three luxury villas on St. Croix: The White House, Estate Buena Vista and Estate Coral Reef, each featuring a swimming pool, deck, an outdoor grill and a gazebo.

Each is offering 30 percent off a one-week stay including airport transfer, light provisioning and post-stay cleaning.

Vacation St. Croix, a fully licensed, insured and bonded vacation rental and property management/maintenance company, is offering a roster of dozens of villas at a 10 percent discount off any villa booking of seven nights or more.
