Celebrity’s New Culinary Cruise in the Caribbean

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 16, 2016

Celebrity Cruises has unveiled a new culinary cruise featuring some of the top chefs of Washington, D.C.

The DC Chefs’ Caribbean Culinary Cruise, scheduled for Jan. 28 to Feb. 4, will feature chefs including Mike Isabella, Marjorie Meek-Bradley and David Guas, along with James Beard-nominated spirit authority Derek Brown.

The cruise was developed by Celebrity Cruises’ DC Brand Ambassador, Nycci Nellis, and will include “lavish food and beverage to please an array of palates,” according to the company.

“My concept for Celebrity’s first-ever, DC Chefs Caribbean cruise was to bring together fans of our chefs who love their food and want to get to know them better, and who also enjoy uber-pampered, getaway travel,” Nellis said. “These cruise guests will enjoy a relaxing week on the high seas, getting to know and interacting with our celebrities in exotic settings. They will partake in sumptuous, private-dining, exclusive cooking classes, private beach BBQ parties and much more.”

The chefs will lead classes and present unique dining experiences, along with mingling with cruise guests.

“This DC Chef’s Cruise celebrates our brand’s pledge to bring local fare and local talent aboard the world’s top, premium cruise line, and continue exciting our guest’s senses all over the world. Mike, Marjorie, David and Derek provide the perfect marriage of innovative cuisine, international flavors, and spirited personalities,” said Phillip Jacobs, Celebrity Cruises’ East Coast Market Representative.
