VIDEO: Fisherman’s Huts, Aruba

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 17, 2016

If you’re looking for surfing in Aruba, look no further. This is Fishermen’s Huts, Aruba’s capital for surfing in all forms, with a major emphasis on kiteboarding and windsurfing. (It’s also the site of the the famous Aruba Hi-Winds regatta, which is held every summer and one of the circuit’s biggest events).

Fisherman’s Huts, which is also known as Hadicurari, is a marvelous little stretch of beach, with Aruba’s classic white sand and an always relaxed ambience.

And if you’re wondering about the name, it got its moniker as a launching point for fishing boats (for which it’s still used by many fisherman on the island)

This is what it’s like.
