Canadian carrier WestJet showed a decline in revenue passenger miles last month, according to the company’s monthly report.

The carrier posted 1.612 revenue passenger miles in November, down 2.7 percent from 1.656 billion revenue passenger miles in November 2014.

Load factor fell by 1.9 percentage points to 78.6 percent, while available seat miles were down by 0.3 percent to 2.049 billion.

“While loads across much of our network were generally in line with very strong prior year performance, softness in certain southern and Alberta markets resulted in a modest system load factor decline,” said WestJet President and CEO Gregg Saretsky. “With our busy holiday season approaching, I want to thank our more than 11,000 WestJetters for their continued dedication to safely providing our guests with WestJet’s award-winning brand of friendly caring service.”
