The bad news: Summer’s over. The good news: The Caribbean’s shoulder season is here, bringing big savings between now and the start of high season in December. And to kicks things off, we’ve rounded up four deals in Nassau/Paradise Island so you can see for yourself if it really is better in the Bahamas.

Comfort Suites Paradise Island

Now through Dec. 22, 2015, Comfort Suites’ Fall Into Savings promotion offers a room category upgrade as well as complimentary lunch and dinner for kids 11 years old and younger when they eat with a paying adult at Crusoe’s restaurant. Even better: Guests enjoy complimentary access to all the facilities at neighboring Atlantis year-round, plus free daily breakfast, free parking and Wi-Fi.

Graycliff

In the heart of downtown Nassau, this historic hotel is housed in an 18th-century mansion and features the Caribbean’s first five-star restaurant; a chocolatier; and one of the largest private wine collections in the world. Book a minimum two-night stay here by Oct. 31 and save 25 percent off the room rate. (Travel must be completed by Dec. 20.)

Meliá Nassau Beach Resort

Book a minimum three-night stay at this all-inclusive Cable Beach resort at least 15 days in advance and you’ll score a 20-percent saving on your stay. (Travel must be completed by Dec. 22.)

Sandals Royal Bahamian

Getting hitched this fall? Sandals Royal Bahamian is offering a free Beautiful Beginnings wedding for couples who book a minimum of three nights at the Cable Beach all-inclusive resort with its own private island. Bring friends and family and you may even score a free stay, because if you tie the knot between Sept. 1 and Dec. 25 and book five rooms, the sixth (yours!) is free. Book 12 rooms and get the 13th free, or reserve 18 rooms and get two more complimentary rooms for your nearest and dearest.
