Delta Airlines is ramping up its service to Barbados.

The carrier officially launched new nonstop flights to the island last week from both New York and Atlanta.

The flights will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays out of New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

All of the flights will be operated on Boeing 737 aircrafts with a total seating capacity of 160, including 16 seats in business class.

The New York flights leave at 8:45 AM and arrive in Barbados at around 2:38 PM, with a return flight departing at 5:05 PM and arriving at 9:08 PM.

The Atlanta flights leave at 10:30 AM, arriving in Barbados at 4:04 PM, with return flights leaving at 3:35 PM and arriving in Atlanta around 7:46 PM.

As other carriers like American Airlines and JetBlue have been increasing their service to the Caribbean, Delta has followed suit, with a series of new flights added in the last year, including a new flight set to launch to St Lucia later this month.
