Sonesta is planning to debut its new Ocean Point resort in St Maarten with a soft opening in October.

The Sonesta Ocean Point, an all-inclusive, adults-only property, will be located adjacent to the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino.

The 129-room, all-suite resort is the product of a multmillion-dollar renovation to the former Ocean Terrace building.

“Sonesta Ocean Point hails as Maho Group’s most exciting hospitality venture to date serving as a paragon of the limitless, all-inclusive resort concept now synonymous with the Maho brand,” said Saro Spadaro, president and CEO of The Maho Group. “It is the culmination of our years of dedication and passion for hospitality, and our continued investment in St. Maarten as a leading tourism destination in the Caribbean.”

The resort will include three pools, including an infinity pool, three bars and lounges including a rooftop bar and 2,000 square feet of meeting space, among other amenities.

St Maarten is already home to the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort, Casino & Spa.
