The Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France will become a Cheval Blanc property when it reopens on Oct. 15, LVMH announced Tuesday.

The move comes after global luxury firm LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton acquired the landmark hotel property from Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners in 2013 and tapped LVMH Hotel Management to run the property.

The property will include several new offerings, including a Cheval Blanc Spa offering the region’s only Guerlain treatments; a partnership with French hair pioneer Leonor Greyl to develop an exclusive in-house product line and the addition of “alchemists” to create tailor-made experiences for guests, the company said.

The hotel will join LVMH’s two other Cheval Blanc-branded properties, including the Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives and the Cheval Blanc Courchevel, a ski resort in the town of Courchevel 1850 in the French Alps.

The property has already been undergoing enhancements that will continue throughout 2015, the hotel said.

Along with the signature spa, the property will add a new fitness centre and a new color scheme at the hotel.
