Could Guadeloupe and Haiti join forces in tourism?

A delegation from the French department led by Hilaire Brudey, president of the Guadeloupe Tourism Commission, visited Haiti last week for a two-day visit, mulling the development of a multi-island package for the French market.

Brudey was joined by Director General Willy Rosier and Michel Morice, chief of cabient in the Regional Council of Guadeloupe, who visited tourist areas including Cap-Haitien and Jacmel.

Haiti recently sent a tourism delegation to the Top Resa tourism fair in Paris and the Travel and Cruise Fair in Guadeloupe last month.

Air France currently flies to Haiti and Guadeloupe out of Paris.

Haiti has also been looking to court tourists from Guadeloupe itself, hosting a group of travel agents from the archipelago last year.
