Reggae star Etana will headline the Reggae Culture Salute in Brooklyn in November, according to the Coalition to Preserve Reggae Music, which organizes the annual event.

Etana has recently been touring to promote her new album, “Better Tomorrow.” Also on hand at this year’s fete will be Freddie McGregor, who will receive the CPR’s Pinnacle Award for his five decades of work in the Jamaican music scene.

Other artists signed on to participate include Don Minott, Germany’s Uwe Banton, dub poet Ras Osagyefo, DJ Yanks and singer Michibella. They will all be backed by Brooklyn-based ensemble Widayyah, which is led by guitarist Noel Jones.

The event, which has become one of the leading reggae events in the New York City area, will be held at the Nazareth Regional High School in Brooklyn on Nov. 2 at 8 PM.

It is currently in its ninth year. For more information, click here.
