St Lucia’s Kenny Anthony Heads to Grenada For ECCB Meeting

St Lucia Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony will be on hand in Grenada for the upcoming Special Meeting of the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank on Monday.

The council will be deliberating on reports on fiscal policy in the currency union, along with financial sector stability and growth and competitiveness, according to a release.

The government said financial stability “has been a source of concern for all governments in the region, as it is a necessary precursor to sustainable growth.”

Infrastructure Minister Philip Pierre will serve as Prime Minister during Anthony’s absence.

Anthony will return to St Lucia on Tuesday.
