Haiti President Michel Martelly has named businessman Bernard Schettini as the new director general of Haiti’s National Society of Industrial Parks, the National Palace announced in a statement Tuesday.
That includes the Caracol Industrial Park, which officially opened last year, which is owned by Haiti’s government but funded by the United States and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Schettini replaces Georges Sassine, who was appointed director general of SONAPI in the summer of 2012.
Current tenants at Caracol include Korean firm Sae-a and Haitian firm Peintures Caribes.
