The Magdalena Grand Beach Resort in Tobago was named “Large Property of the Year” at the recent Tobago House of Assembly Awards Ceremony.

Magdalena Grand General Manager Vince Angelo and John Murphy, principal at efm Hospitality, the resort’s operator, attended to accept the award.

“We are honoured to be recognized as “Large Property of the Year” after just one year since we opened our doors,” Angelo said. “Our staff is dedicated to providing an excellent vacation experience for our guests.  We also enjoy participating in community-based activities which enhance life for everyone on Tobago.”

Patricia Sheppard, Chef de Partie at Magdalena Grand, took home four awards of her own for her work at the Blue Food Festival held in October.

The resort, which features 178 rooms with 22 one- or two-bedroom suite combinations, is located about 15 minutes from the ANR Robinson International Airport on the 750-acre Tobago Plantations Estate. It also features its own PGA-designed championship golf course.
