A New Way to Travel From Europe to Saint Lucia

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 19, 2024

There’s a new way for European travelers to visit the island of Saint Lucia, thanks to a creative new program by French carrier Air Caraibes.

It’s called Navigair, and it facilitates connections from Paris to Saint Lucia by a combination of flights and ferries.

Air Caraibes recently launched a new flight to Martinique; travelers can book that flight then take a shuttle from Martinique’s Aime Cesaire International Airport for a ferry to Saint Lucia on the popular L’Express Des Iles service.

The the package includes flight, shuttle and ferry all in one price, with visitors arriving in Saint Lucia on the same day.

Service operates on Thursdays and Sundays to Saint Lucia. Return service runs on Saturdays to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Navigair also offers service to St Martin, Dominica and Guadeloupe.

“This development not only enriches the visitor experience but also bolsters our economy,” said St Lucia Tourism Minister Dr Ernest Hilaire. “With increased connectivity, more people can now partake in the vibrant festivities, cultural events, and festivals that make Saint Lucia a truly unique destination. This growth reflects our commitment to providing accessibility and fostering a deeper connection with our beautiful island, ensuring that the wonders of Saint Lucia are within reach for everyone.”
