Melia Just Opened a New All-Inclusive in Cuba

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 11, 2023

Melia has opened its newest all-inclusive resort in Varadero on the northern coast of Cuba, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Spanish hotel chain has debuted the new Sol Caribe Beach, its newest oceanfront resort in Cuba.

The family-friendly resort has almost 400 rooms, with large family-oriented rooms and two pools on a wide stretch of Varadero beach.

The hotel has three dining concepts: Verbena, a Mediterranean-style eatery; Wok, an Asian restaurant; and The Kitchen, a buffet restaurant.

There are also nine different meeting rooms with almost 12,000 square feet of space.

It’s part of a new push for Melia, which has long had a stronghold in the Cuban market.

“We have no doubt that Cuba will recover to pre-crisis levels and will be in a better state than ever before ,” said Gabriel Escarrer, Vice President and CEO of Melia.
