Frontier Airlines Is Adding New Nonstop Dominican Republic Flights

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 23, 2023

Ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is set to add another new nonstop route to the Dominican Republic in May.

Frontier will be kicking off a new nonstop route between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic beginning May 11.

The new service will be operating twice each week.

Initial fares start at $79 one-way, according to the company.

“Atlanta is one of Frontier’s fastest growing markets,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “We are working hard to make our already robust network at ATL even bigger and, in fact, by summer, Atlanta will be our third largest operation. We know those in the Atlanta area appreciate Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right,’ and now they can take advantage of even more affordable and convenient options when planning their next vacation.”

Frontier now operates service to 38 destinations out of Atlanta.

“We are pleased to partner with Frontier Airlines with these five new nonstop routes,” said ATL Deputy General Manager and Chief Commercial Officer Jai Ferrell. “Additional service and new destinations expand connectivity for our passengers and illustrates our mission to deliver excellence while connecting our community to the world.”

It is another new route for the Dominican Republic’s capital, which continues to see tourism growth as the country breaks visitation records.
