Frontier Adds New Nonstop Flights to Costa Rica

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 22, 2022

It’s been a year of expansion for Frontier Airlines, with the ultra-low-cost carrier continuing to add new routes to its network in the Caribbean Basin.

Now the airline has added another one.

Frontier is now operating once-weekly service between Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport to Guanacaste Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica.

The new route is running every Saturday to Guanacaste, Costa Rica’s most popular resort destination.

“Frontier is proud to be providing the Atlanta market with ‘Low Fares Done Right’ to a variety of international destinations,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial at Frontier Airlines. “From the Bahamas, El Salvador, and Jamaica to Costa Rica, travelers in the Atlanta metro now have options to book convenient and affordable travel to some of the most popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean and Central America.”

Introductory fares on the route are starting at $89, according to the airline.

Frontier now operates flights to 34 different destinations out of Atlanta.

The airline has been expanding to the Caribbean at a breakneck pace, with new routes from a host of U.S. cities to destinations like Nassau, San Juan and Jamaica in particular.
