Italy-Jamaica Nonstop Flights Are Back

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 21, 2022

Nonstop air service between Italy and Jamaica is back, according to the Jamaica Tourist Board.

The island has welcomed back nonstop flights between Milan’s Malpensa Airport and Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport, with service on Neos Air.

The service, which resumed this week, will operate twice each week.

Beginning Dec. 23, Neos Air will also operate a flight from Verona, officials confirmed.

“The addition of these direct flights speak to the confidence our airline partners have of the destination. Jamaica continues to show its resilience from the fallout of the pandemic as our tourism recovery surpasses our targets,” said Jamaica Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett.

Both routes will operate on Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner service with capacity for 359 travelers.

“This is another positive nod for Jamaica’s tourism as we continue to keep the destination top of mind. We anticipate an increase in visitors and look forward to showcasing our warm Jamaican hospitality,” said Director of Tourism, Donovan White.

Jamaica continues to see tourism growth, with forecasts showing that the island will surpass its pre-pandemic numbers next year.
