Windstar Expanding in the Caribbean, Adding Cruises From Miami

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 9, 2022

Small-ship cruise line Windstar is expanding in the Caribbean, including its first-ever homeport in Miami.

The company is adding a new itinerary in the winter of 2023: Beach Fun and Sun: a Caribbean Getaway, that will feature seven days in Caribbean ports including St Maarten, Antigua, St Barth, Anguilla, Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda and Tortola.

“We created this itinerary specifically for people who like to spend time enjoying some of the best tropical beaches, swimming and watersports activities,” said Windstar Cruises’ President Christopher Prelog. Our small yachts visit scenic Caribbean islands for a peaceful, relaxing vacation away from crowds.”

And beginning in Dec. 2022, Windstar will for the first time sail cruises from PortMiami, coinciding with the company’s corporate relocation to Florida from Seattle.

Windstar will sail two itineraries out of Miami: one, Jungles and Jewels of the Central American Coast, will include stops in Key West, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras.

The other, Central America and the Panama Canal Revealed, will sail from Miami to Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama.
