Single family homes in the Caribbean are particularly popular these days for those looking for secure villas and enclaves, real estate experts say. And the emphasis is on security.

“While Turks and Caicos Islands are exceptionally safe as a British Overseas Territory with the U.K. overseeing security, overseas buyers, particularly those from North America, increasingly seek even higher levels of protection for properties like single-family villas and villa enclaves, said Robert Greenwood, director and broker at Christie’s International Real Estate Turks & Caicos.
