The British Virgin Islands’ Big Diving Event Is Back

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 8, 2024

The British Virgin Islands’ beloved diving event is back this summer with the return of BVI Wreck Week.

The weeklong celebration organized by the BVI Scuba Organization focuses on the myriad wrecks and “art reefs” that dot the undersea landscape in the BVI.

Festvaigloers will be able to dive legendary pirate ships, World War II-era ships and a range of sites for all diving levels.

“We are thrilled to welcome divers and adventurers from around the world to BVI Wreck Week 2024,” said Kim Huish, President of The BVI Scuba Organization. “This event is not only an opportunity to explore some of the most captivating wrecks in the Caribbean but also a chance to immerse oneself in the beauty and culture of the British Virgin Islands.”

This year’s event runs from June 16-22, with activities both underwater and on land, from a Movie Night at the Bitter End Yacht Club to a Trellis Bay fun day in Tortola.
