Just a few weeks after Marriott opened its new Courtyard Marriott in the Dominican Republic’s capital, the company has debuted another new hotel in Santo Domingo.

The new Santo Domingo Marriott Hotel Piantini is the first classic Marriott-branded hotel in the city, with designs by Boris Pena Architects and 207 rooms with views of the capital’s skyline.

The hotel includes a rooftop pool on the 21st floor, along with a fitness center, an all-day eatery called Mo’orea, along with a lobby bar.

There’s also an exclusive “M Club” for Marriott’s highest-level Bonvoy members like Platinum Elite and Titanium Elite.

The new Marriott joins the just-opened Courtyard in Santo Domingo’s increasingly popular Piantini district.

The city has been home for more than a decade to one of the region’s top JW Marriott resorts, set in the city’s Blue Mall on Winston Churchill Avenue.
