Turks and Caicos International Arrivals Are Surging

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 6, 2024

It’s no secret that the Turks and Caicos Islands has been one of the hottest destinations in the region since the pandemic.

But the destination’s growth isn’t just strong for the Caribbean — it’s right at the top of the world.

Data from the UN’s World Tourism Barometer show that the Turks and Caicos Islands has seen 127 percent growth in international arrivals since 2019, before the pandemic, a number that leads global destinations.

Turks and Caicos’ growth is higher than tourism strongholds like Qatar and Saudi Arabia, along with countries like Albania, El Salvador, Colombia and Andorra.

Three Caribbean destinations made the list of the 11 fastest-growing international arrival hotspots, including Curacao, the Dominican Republic and the US Virgin Islands.
