Anguilla’s Legendary Music Festival Is Back

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 31, 2024

Music legend Bankie Banx’s 2024 Moonsplash Music Festival will return to Anguilla’s Dune Preserve for its 34th annual staging from March 21 to 24, 2024.

The longest-running independent music festival in the Caribbean, Moonsplash is more than just a concert.

“Moonsplash is about so much more than just music,” says longtime emcee Oluwakemi Linda Banks. “It’s about connecting with people, soaking up the beauty of Anguilla, and letting the rhythms of the island wash over you.”

The festival begins March 21 with Kickoff Cocktail, featuring local talent igniting the vibes at Savi Beach Club.

On March 22, Reggae Night  welcomes the Grammy-nominated Protoje, known for captivating audiences with his signature blend of conscious lyrics and infectious rhythms.

On March 23, it’s Legends Night with The Legendary Wailers channeling the  spirit of Bob Marley and immersing everyone in the roots of reggae.

The final day of the festival, March 24, will begin with a day-time Jimmy Buffet tribute concert and culminate with performances by Mighty Mystic and Moonsplash Allstars.

The festival serves as a platform for aspiring artists and creatives on the island, providing opportunities to interact with industry professionals.
