Secrets Just Opened a New Adults-Only All-Inclusive in Punta Cana

By: Dana Niland - January 19, 2024

Beaches, cocktails, all-inclusive resorts. It’s a rather simple, but stunningly successful tourism formula, one that the Dominican Republic has been implementing for decades — culminating in a record-breaking 10 million visitors to the country last year.

And the Dominican Republic is not resting on its laurels, continuing to add new resorts across the country, concentrated in the de facto capital of all-inclusive in the Caribbean: Punta Cana.

Now, Punta Cana another new resort, with this week’s debut of Secrets Tides Punta Cana, and it’s a 688-room resort set on the beach in the Uvero Alto area of Punta Cana. It’s the newest addition to Hyatt’s adults-only Secrets brand.

The resort has nine restaurants.

The new Secrets is an all-suite resort, with amenities like 24-7 room service, an in-room coffee bar and either a balcony or terrace in every suite.

“We are excited to announce the opening of Secrets Tides Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, as we expand the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand in a country known for its beautiful beaches and romantic flair,” says Jordi Guillaumet, General Manager of Secrets Tides. “The Dominican Republic continues to be a sought-after destination for honeymoons, weddings, and romantic escapes.”

The resort does have a Preferred Club, with larger suites, personalized check-in, an exclusive lounge, a club-only pool and special sections of the beach and main pool. The Club also has a special breakfast and lunch restaurant.

There are nine different dining concepts on offer, including a “Mediterranean fusion” eatery called Meraki, and a Pan-Asian eatery with hibachi tables. That’s along with eight bars and lounges.

Hyatt says there is a Secrets Spa by Pevonia as well, with 10 single treatment rooms and another six couples rooms, along with a hydrotherapy circuit, a sauna and a steam room.

Hyatt now has 17 different resorts in the Dominican Republic, with another hotel, the Hyatt Centric, planned to open in Santo Domingo later this year.

For those who reserve now, Hyatt is offering up to 40 percent off on their stay for travel through December.
