This Caribbean Airline Is Launching a Big Route Expansion  

St Maarten-based Caribbean airline Winair is set to kick off a significant expansion of its route network across the region, Caribbean Journal has learned. 

Beginning Jan. 15, Winair will be adding new routes across destinations including Antigua, St Maarten, Tortola and Dominica. 

That will include service between Antigua and St Maarten, St Kitts, Tortola and Dominica; service from St Kitts to St Maarten, Antigua, Dominica and Tortola; service from Tortola to St Maarten, Antigua and St Kitts; and service from Dominica to St Maarten, Antigua and St Kitts. 

The new flights create a new cluster of connections across the northeastern Caribbean, in a boon for intra-regional travel. 

The expansion comes after Winair just added more frequencies to its routes between St Maarten and both Saba and Statia. 

The move will “further enrich travel connectivity in the region,” the company said. 

“These route expansions reinforce Winair’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and facilitating convenient travel options for customers between our key destinations. 

The flights also help open up some harder-to-reach destinations to St Maarten’s particularly large network of flights from North America and Europe. That’s along with increasing island-hopping options for travelers looking to do multi-destination vacations.

– From Antigua to St.Maarten; two to three times daily

– From Antigua to St. Kitts; twice a week,

– From Antigua to Tortola; 5 flights a week,

– From Antigua to Dominica; 5 flights a week.

St. Kitts

– St.Kitts to St.Maarten; two to three times daily

– St. Kitts to Antigua; 3 flights a week,

– St. Kitts to Dominica; twice a week,

– St. Kitts to Tortola; twice a week.

Tortola, BVI

– Tortola to St.Maarten; two to three times daily

– Tortola to Antigua; every day,

– Tortola to St. Kitts; twice a week.

Dominica

– Dominica to St.Maarten; two to three times daily

– Dominica to Antigua; 5 flights a week,

– Dominica to St. Kitts; twice a week.
