The Sunscape Coco Punta Cana is now open.

Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection just debuted its second new all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic in less than a month: the new Sunscape Coco Punta Cana.

Just a few weeks after it opened another Sunscape-branded resort in Puerto Plata on the country’s northern coast, Hyatt has opened a massive 1,059-room family-friendly property in the heart of the Dominican Republic’s most popular travel destination.

The resort, set in Punta Cana’s Cabeza de Toro area, has 12 different restaurants, an “explorer’s club” for kids, and, in a nod to the growing trend, a seemingly never-ending stream of daily programming from on-site games to yoga lessons to aqua aerobics.

Most of the rooms at the resort have either full or partial views of the ocean, while guests in the elevated “Sun Club” wing have access to a dedicated lounge with its own food and beverage offering.

That’s along with additional in-room touches like premium toiletries and an “enhanced” daily mini-bar service, among other touches.

Ever since its acquisition of Apple Leisure Group back in 2021, Hyatt has been rapidly expanding its footprint in the Caribbean all-inclusive space. Now, Hyatt has 15 all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic alone, including what are now two Sunscape-branded resorts.

“The opening of Sunscape Coco Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic presents an opportunity to bolster family-friendly, all-inclusive options in a diverse and vibrant market for travelers worldwide,” says Gonzalo del Peón, Group President, Inclusive Collection Global Commercial. “The Dominican Republic continues to be a destination of immense importance to the Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt, and this stunning backdrop offers a cost-conscious ideal setting for families seeking both relaxation and adventure.”

To kick off, Hyatt is offering as much as 40 percent off vacations at Sunscape Coco for travel bookings in the 2024 shoulder season.

The resort faces an increasingly competitive all-inclusive market in Punta Cana, particularly in the family-friendly area including the area’s top all-inclusive resort, the Lopesan Costa Bavaro
